VodafoneZiggo Sees Decrease in Fixed Internet Users, Gains in Business and Mobile Sectors

The quantity of users utilizing a fixed internet connection with VodafoneZiggo has once again decreased during the last quarter. A total of 26,600 consumers opted out between January and March of 2024.

VodafoneZiggo refers to the competition in this market as 'fierce'. As a result, turnover from consumers with a fixed connection dropped by 0.6 percent. Additionally, there is a slight increase in the number of customers canceling their subscriptions: in the previous quarter of 2023, the company lost 21,000 customers in that sector.

There are positive developments on the business front as well. VodafoneZiggo acquired 3,100 customers with business internet connections. The provider is also observing growth in the mobile sector. The number of customers in the mobile division rose by 22,300, which is a 3.4 percent increase compared to the same quarter one year prior. No specific data has been provided regarding TV subscriptions.

During the first quarter, turnover climbed by 1.6 percent to 1.02 billion euros. Profit before depreciation and taxes also rose by 8.8 percent to 478 million euros.
