Game publisher Take-Two is cutting dozens of jobs in Seattle as part of a ‘shutdown’ happening on June 28. Seattle is where Intercept Games is located, a subsidiary of Take-Two known for the troubled Kerbal Space Program 2. Take-Two has been in the process of reducing its workforce by five percent to lower costs. Documents filed in the US now reveal that the company is laying off seventy employees in Seattle as reported by Game Developer.

Take-Two has not confirmed if these employees are specifically from Intercept Games, but they stress that they are still supporting Kerbal Space Program 2. Intercept Games has not provided any comments yet.

Kerbal Space Program 2 is a space simulation game that entered Early Access in early 2023 after multiple delays. Currently, the game is still in Early Access and has received mixed reviews on Steam. Earlier last year, Tweakers wrote a review stating that the game is not yet complete. It is noteworthy that the game has a smaller player base compared to its predecessor. In March, Kerbal Space Program 2 had only 1480 players while the original game had 2644 players during the same month.
