Snapchat Introduces Exclusive Watermark for AI-Generated Images

Snapchat will now add a watermark created by its own AI tools to images before they're shared. This watermark includes a semi-transparent Snapchat logo with a sparkling effect, and it's specifically applied to images that are exported or shared outside the app.

According to a blog post by Snap Inc., this watermark serves to indicate to recipients that the images are generated using AI. The company has been proactive in informing users about content produced or modified with its AI tools and plans to conduct further tests to minimize any potential biases in the AI-generated results. The exact rollout date for the AI watermark hasn't been specified yet.
