Proton has introduced a beta version of its email application for Linux, marking the first time the company has launched such a product for the Linux operating system.
According to reports, the Windows and macOS versions of the app have been in beta testing for a while and have now been officially released. Installation files for the email application are available on the company's website for Ubuntu/Debian and Fedora/RHEL.
The beta version includes features that can be tested during a free trial period. However, after the trial period, only paying Proton customers with Mail+ or Unlimited subscriptions will be able to continue using the desktop apps. The beta versions for macOS and Windows were released three months ago.
