The latest developer edition of Opera One comes with a fresh feature that empowers users to utilize a large language model directly on their personal computer. With over 150 diverse LLMs available, Opera assures that all user data is processed solely on their own devices.

As per Opera's announcement, this new feature is now integrated into the newest version of Opera One Developer. Interested users can grab this developer version of the browser directly from the Opera website. Upon installation, users have the option to pick from a range of language models such as Llama from Meta, Mixtral from Mistral, and Gemma from Google. Some models require significant storage space, ranging from several gigabytes to tens of gigabytes.

Opera employs Ollama, an open-source framework that enables the local running of LLMs. The language models provided by Opera are reportedly part of the Ollama libraries, as stated by TechCrunch. Additionally, Opera has plans to introduce its own curated LLMs in the future.
