It has been announced that Microsoft will no longer support the Windows Subsystem for Android starting in early 2025. This tool has allowed Windows 11 users to run Android apps seamlessly. Beginning on March 6, 2024, new users will no longer be able to install apps using this feature.

According to information posted on the Microsoft website, all apps and games relying on WSA will cease to be supported as of March 5, 2025. However, Windows 11 users who have already installed the Amazon Appstore or Android apps prior to March 6, 2024, will still be able to use them and receive technical assistance until early next year. Additionally, Amazon has confirmed that they will continue to provide updates as reported by The Verge.

When Windows 11 was unveiled in June 2021, Microsoft announced its support for Android apps. The Windows Subsystem for Android utilizes Intel's Bridge Technology to enable the running of Arm apps on x86-based processors.
