Google has introduced its Gemini Nano model for the Pixel 8, following its earlier implementation in the Pixel 8 Pro. While the Pixel 8 is currently in beta as part of the Pixel Feature Drop, the Pixel 8 Pro has been utilizing Gemini Nano for some time.
Gemini Nano brings two key features to the Pixel 8: Smart Replies within Gboard and the ability to summarize transcripts in Google Recorder. However, the Pixel 8 Pro enjoys additional functionalities due to its higher RAM capacity, boasting 12GB compared to the Pixel 8's 8GB.
Users can experience these features through a Developer Preview on the Pixel 8 after updating to the latest Feature Drop. These capabilities have been operational on the Pixel 8 Pro for several months, following the release of both phones last autumn.
