Elgato unveils the Facecam Mk.2, a 1080p webcam with HDR support and a built-in privacy cover. The camera, priced at 150 euros, offers similar specs to its predecessor from 2021 but at a lower cost.

The Facecam Mk.2 brings some upgrades over its predecessor. While maintaining a maximum resolution of 1080p and 60fps, the webcam now includes HDR support. Additionally, the successor boasts a diagonal viewing angle of 84 degrees, up from 82 degrees in the previous model. Users can now zoom by tilting the lens vertically or horizontally.

Elgato has made some design tweaks to the camera, making it slightly flatter and less obtrusive above the screen. The camera lens retains its f/2.4 aperture and 24mm focal length. Connectivity is through a USB-C 3.0 port, allowing users to adjust various settings like viewing angle, colors, and shutter speed using the Camera Hub Software.
