Marvel has officially announced a brand new free-to-play team-based multiplayer shooter called Marvel Rivals. This exciting PC game will feature a 6v6 mode and will receive regular seasonal updates. Developer NetEase is gearing up to launch a closed beta in May, although an official release date has not yet been revealed.

The trailer on YouTube gives us a sneak peek at what to expect from Marvel Rivals. Players can look forward to controlling iconic Marvel characters such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Namor, and Black Panther. Forbes has confirmed that there will be 19 Marvel characters available initially, each with their own unique abilities and powers. Additionally, Marvel has teased the ability for players to combine forces of two characters to unleash a powerful joint attack. The trailer also showcases destructible virtual arenas where players will engage in competitive battles.

Marvel has promised that Marvel Rivals will receive regular updates, including new maps and characters during seasonal updates. While the game does not yet have an official release date, players can get a head start by signing up for the closed beta starting in May through the Marvel Rivals website.
