IGN Entertainment has officially confirmed the purchase of all of Gamer Network's notable gaming journalism brands. Among the acquired brands are Digital Foundry, GamesIndustry.biz, Eurogamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, VG247, Dicebreaker, Nintendo Life, and Push Square.

The news of the acquisition was shared by IGN Entertainment on their platform in a detailed announcement, however, the exact financial details of the deal were not disclosed. IGN highlighted that they now have ownership of the entire lineup of Gamer Network brands, while also noting that shares in Outside Xbox, Digital Foundry, Nintendo Life, and Push Square are also part of the deal. The extent to which these brands will be integrated into IGN moving forward remains to be fully clarified.

Notably, IGN Entertainment had previously made headlines with their acquisition of Humble Bundle. Kotaku reports that several employees, including journalist Ethan Gach, were let go as a result of the takeover. It is uncertain whether this staff restructuring is part of a larger realignment of the former Gamer Network brands within the IGN umbrella.
