GitHub Unveils Copilot Enterprise: Enhanced AI Features for Large Corporations

6 months ago 1537

GitHub has introduced its Copilot Enterprise plan tailored for large corporations. This premium tier includes all features from the standard Copilot Business subscription, along with additional functionalities. Copilot Enterprise is priced at $39 per user on a monthly basis.

Copilot Enterprise is capable of interpreting code and accessing the customer's knowledge base. For example, the AI assistant can provide answers to queries about an organization's internal code and direct users to relevant internal documentation. Over time, organizations utilizing the Enterprise subscription will have the ability to customize the Copilot AI model based on their own repositories. These advanced features are exclusive to the Copilot Enterprise plan and not included in Copilot Business.

In addition, GitHub's AI service will integrate with the Bing search engine. This integration enables users to inquire about updates that may have occurred post the original training of the AI model.

At present, the Bing integration is in beta stage exclusively for Copilot Enterprise. It remains unclear if and when this integration will be extended to other versions of GitHub Copilot. Moreover, Copilot Enterprise can provide summaries of pull requests. GitHub has released a comparison chart detailing the variances among the different Copilot editions.
