Users who have subscribed to the platform will now notice columns of trending topics on their For You page, as stated by the social medium. By clicking on these topics, users can read an AI-generated summary explaining why the topic is relevant to them. The AI bot Grok utilizes user posts related to these topics in order to generate these summaries.
According to Elon Musk's statement to CNBC journalist Alex Kantrowitz, an xAI employee mentioned that their team is focused on enhancing Grok's ability to comprehend news reports solely based on posts made on X. The ultimate goal is to incorporate 'relevant posts' in the summaries, including references to news articles. At present, no sources are disclosed within the summaries.
