Cities: Skylines II is set to officially receive mod support starting next week, as announced by publisher Paradox Interactive. Users will soon be able to access mods through a beta version of the game.

Mod support for Cities: Skylines II will coincide with the release of the game's first DLC pack named Beach Properties. Upon the update release, an in-game editor will be provided for players to create and deploy map and code mods within the game.

Users will have the ability to share their creations with others and rate them using the same platform. Additionally, the option to mod assets will be introduced later this year. It has been confirmed by Paradox that the game will not have support for the Steam Workshop.
