Beat Saber will no longer be supported on the original Meta Quest VR headset as of November 2 2024. While the game remains playable, multiplayer functionality will end, and new updates will no longer be released.

Listed with frequently asked questions, developer Beat Games explains that the Beat Saber version for the Meta Quest 1 will no longer receive updates. It remains possible to play the game albeit without online functions. It is also possible to play the PC version of Beat Saber on the original Quest via Meta Quest Link. Beat Games says it will end support for the first Quest VR headset to "focus its efforts in the right direction."

Players who have purchased Beat Saber and any DLC will be able to play its content on other Meta Quest headsets. The VR rhythm game and already purchased add-ons are linked to the Meta account allowing users to install and use the game on another Meta VR headset. In addition to the Quest 3, Quest 2, and Quest Pro, Beat Saber is available for the Rift and Rift S.
