The acclaimed RPG Baldur's Gate III swept the annual BAFTA Game Awards, taking home five prestigious awards, including top honors in the Best Game categories. Other standout winners included Alan Wake 2, the visually stunning Viewfinder, and the beloved classic Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

The awards ceremony took place on Thursday evening, with the complete list of winners available for viewing here. This marked the twentieth anniversary of the BAFTA Game Awards. Baldur's Gate III claimed victory in several categories, including Best Game, Music, Narrative, EE Player's Choice, and Best Supporting Role, the latter of which was awarded to Andrew Wincott for his portrayal of devilish character Raphael.

In addition to Baldur's Gate III's success, the eerie Alan Wake 2, artistic gem Viewfinder, and timeless favorite Super Mario Bros. Wonder each secured two awards, tying for second place. This is not the first time Baldur's Gate III has been recognized for its excellence; the game was named Game of the Year at The Game Awards last December and triumphed in eight additional categories.
