Apple's WWDC 2024: New Generative AI Features and Updates Expected

Apple's WWDC developer conference is set to kick off on June 10 this year. At the event, the technology giant is expected to announce new versions of iOS and macOS alongside other updates. Speculation suggests that Apple may also introduce new Generative AI features for its software during the conference.

The upcoming WWDC 2024 is scheduled to run from June 10 to 14 as confirmed by Apple. The conference will commence with a keynote where Apple will showcase 'the latest features for iOS iPadOS macOS watchOS tvOS and visionOS'. Following the keynote, developers will have the opportunity to explore the tools and engage with Apple developers. WWDC is an annual event held in June.

In addition to the software updates, Apple is rumored to unveil its plans for generative AI this year. Reports have been circulating for months suggesting that Apple may be investing heavily in training its AI models for specific functions. Bloomberg recently disclosed that Apple is in discussions with Google to integrate the Gemini-AI chatbot into iOS 18. Apple aims to develop AI functions that operate offline. CEO Tim Cook hinted in February that Apple will introduce generative AI features later this year, although specific details have not been disclosed yet.
