Alpha Protocol Returns to PC: GOG Secures Soundtrack License for Re-Release on Gaming Platform

Alpha Protocol has made its return to PC after a five-year absence. Originally released in 2010, this RPG with espionage elements was taken off Steam in 2019 due to an expired music license. Now, the game is back and exclusively available for purchase on the GOG gaming platform.

GameSpot reports that GOG has secured a valid license for the soundtrack, allowing them to bring the game back for players to enjoy once again. Alpha Protocol has received updates to support modern controllers like the PlayStation DualSense, PlayStation DualShock 4, Nintendo Switch Pro controller, Xbox One, and Xbox Series controllers. Additionally, new language options have been added, along with support for cloud saves and achievements. According to GOG's product page for the game, Alpha Protocol is DRM-free.

First released in 2010 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, Alpha Protocol is an RPG that incorporates espionage elements into its gameplay. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Sega, this game is now back in action for PC players to enjoy once again.
