Adobe unveiled a beta version of its Express mobile app for Android and iOS on Friday, featuring the AI tool Firefly. Firefly, a generative AI tool, has been a part of Express for desktop since August of last year.

According to Adobe, the Firefly tool lets users generate images and make changes such as adding or removing people, objects, and other elements. Firefly is integrated as a service in various Adobe programs, trained solely on footage from Adobe itself, and the images it generates are labeled.

The Express mobile app also offers video editing tools and a social media content scheduler. Creative Cloud subscribers can import and edit designs from Illustrator and Photoshop using the app. During the beta period, paid Express features like the text-to-image feature with Firefly are available for free. After the beta ends, users will need to pay 12.09 euros per month to access these features.

There is no official release date announced for the app yet. Android users can download the app from the Play Store, with a requirement of at least Android 10 and 4GB of available RAM. iOS users who are interested must register through a form on Adobe's website, as the app is compatible only with iPhones running iOS 16 or newer.
