Game developer 11 Bit Studios has officially announced that Frostpunk 2 will be released on July 25, 2024. The highly anticipated sequel to the popular 2018 strategy game will also offer a beta version for players who purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game, which is set to become available sometime in April.
First revealed in 2021, Frostpunk 2 promises to expand upon the original game's core elements of survival strategy and base building. The upcoming sequel will introduce an enhanced political system, new districts for players to explore, fresh moral dilemmas to navigate, and the opportunity to construct even larger settlements.
Players who opt for the Deluxe Edition of Frostpunk 2 will gain exclusive access to the beta in April, as long as they pre-order the game prior to the beta release date. In addition to early beta access, Deluxe Edition buyers will also receive early access to the full game, along with three upcoming DLC packs that have yet to be announced.
